MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday announced a long-term partnership with a new baseball academy in the Dominican Republic.
Located in Ramon Santana, San Pedro de Macoris, the organization's new complex is owned by former Brewers closer Salomon Torres, who runs the day-to-day operations under his company Towers Corp.

Short piece in USA Today yesterday mentioned the infielder moves that they believe will happen this offseason. The bad news is that they predict the Dodgers won't get Albert Pujols (who will return to St. Louis) nor Prince Fielder (who will end up with the Cubs). The worse news is that according to their chart, we'll end up swapping out Jamey "Admiral Ackbar"...

Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder went together like beer and bratwurst over the past five seasons with the Brewers, and they were linked again Wednesday, perhaps for one last time. Both players were named Silver Sluggers in the National League.

I like following the prospects in the Arizona Fall League every year, but box scores don't mean very much. While it's nice to see Scooter Gennett rack up the hits in Arizona, not every pitcher he's facing is a stud, and the process is more important than the results.
