Above, a photo of Bryce Harper in a tuxedo with CNN's Wolf Blitzer at Saturday night's Washington Nationals Dream Foundation Gala (photo via @wolfblitzer). Wolf is, like, old enough to be Bryce's great, great, great, great grandfather or something.
Of course, this photo was taken just a few hours after Harper's worst game as a pro, in which he went 0-7 with 5 Ks and ended the 14 inning heartbreaking loss against the Yankees with a first-pitch-swinging ground out with the tying run on first. Yeah.
Here's Davey Johnson on Harper's awful day at the plate:
"This is probably his first really tough game where he was overanxious. That's showing some of his inexperience. He was really amped up against Pettitte. I've never seen him swing at balls out of the zone and he was chasing balls. You get in that mode where you try to make something happen and that's part of youth." Harper's 'clown question' gets mega mix
Ha! If you suspend your rigid cynicism and let go, it’s almost like Bryce Harper is in all these movies, music videos, game shows, television programs and whatnot and actually answering all the questions posed with “That’s a clown question, bro.” That’s some good stuff right there. A fitting tribute to one of the best [...]

A-Rod loves everything about Bryce Harper
And so, Bryce Harper's favorite baseball team is in town for a weekend series against the Nationals. The series couldn't be set up more perfectly - battle between two first place teams, and the first time since 1969 that a winning baseball team from Washington faces the Yankees.
Meawhile with talk of whether Byrce Harper should be an All-Star this year or not, it seems...

Washington Nationals phenom Bryce Harper has started a catch phrase that’s really catching on — In the same vein as Don’t Taser me Bro, and Honeybadger don’t care, comes Bryce Harper’s soon to be award winning saying. Props to Bryce for knowing exactly what a clown question is….Bro. -TO

A "Bryce call me maybe?" sign at Nationals Park...
It was only a matter of time before someone went out on a limb and held up a "Call Me Maybe?" sign for Bryce Harper at a baseball game. And it finally happened during Friday's Nats-Yankees game at Nationals Park. Boom.
And of course, it was only a matter of time before someone made a Harvard Baseball Team/Call Me Maybe/Bryce Harper/"That's a Clown Question...
Harper’s Bazaar
The Washington Nationals are without a doubt one of the best stories of the year. And, of course, you can’t talk about the Nationals without inevitably turning to the direct youth infusion that is Stephen Strasburg and Bryce Harper. Probably the most amazing thing about these two guys is how well they seem to be handling the pressure at their relatively young ages.
Ever since...
A-Rod is a fan of Bryce Harper
The Yankees will get their first chance to see young phenom Bryce Harper this weekend when they face the Nationals and Alex Rodriguez is among those excited to see him.
“I love big talent. I am a baseball fan,’’ Rodriguez told George King of the NY Post. “To be 19 years old and doing what he is doing . . .”
Harper is just 19, but he has a .303/.384/.548 line through...
Dustin Pedroia planning to let ‘clown question, bro’ reporter have it
Bryce Harper’s hilarious “That’s a clown question, bro” response to a reporter in Toronto led to one of the catchiest phrases of the year. Although Harper has been the object of our scrutiny here at LBS, we can’t say we blame him for his response; he was being set up with a dumb question by a reporter who was insensitive to the youngster’s religious beliefs.

Dustin Pedroia Looks to 'Blow Up' Reporter Who Led Bryce Harper to Respond 'That's a Clown Question, Bro'
Dustin Pedroia has never been afraid to say what's on his mind, and if he gets a chance to talk to a certain reporter in the future, that's exactly what he's going to do. According to ESPN.com, the Red Sox second baseman knows which reporter asked Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper about whether or not the 19-year-old was going to have a celebratory beer following a game...

Rookie Rating: Harper vs.Trout
This season is great one to see two amazing rookies go through the season battling it out for the rookie of the year. To my understanding, both Bryce Harper and Mike Trout are amazing prospects who can produce tremendous power at the plate. Both are outfielders as well and they are not to shabby in the field. Trout who is a year older at 20, was drafted at the 25 spot to the Angels...
Some Quick Notes From 6/16′s Yankees-Nationals Game
I’m planning a bigger post for this evening but until that time I thought I’d share a few thoughts from yesterday’s Yankees- Nats 14 inning affair, which I attended. In no particular order:
Ryan Zimerman is a defensive wizz. He saved that game for Washington at least 3 times and in 1 inning, the 11th I believe, turned 2 sure hits into web gems
Andy Pettitte has more years...
