Not much went right after the fifth inning for the Reds, as Chapman and Ondrusek gave up their first runs. The Reds (19-18) and Mets (21-17) got together for an afternoon bout on Thursday, with Cincinnati looking to sweep the brief two-game series. The big righty Mat Latos went against the knuckleballer R.A. Dickey on Weather Education day at Citi Field in New York. The Redlegs broke it open with a three-run fifth inning which gave them a 4-0 lead, before the Metropolitans rallied and ripped a gaping hole in the game to take a 9-4 lead over the next four innings, and that was the final score.
