There really appears to be quite the market for Jose Canseco memorabilia these days. We’ve highlighted some of the more unique items over the past few months, but we felt the need to share this gem with you guys. For only $199 (+ shipping) you can get this rare piece of baseball history. Jose himself signed his name, and underneath that wrote “Godfather of Steroids”. We’ve seen him refer to himself as the Godfather of Steroids a few times over the years, but seeing him sign it on a baseball it something else. Jose went on to use about a full pens worth of ink writing down any and every irrelevant stat from his irrelevant career on every blank space. According to the eBay listing: This is a limited edition of 86. (You will get #50/86). Jose signed his name, added his number and Godfather of Steroids on the sweet spot. The other stats include: BA .266; hr 462; rbis 1407; 86 Roy (33 hrs, 117 rbis); 94 AL Comeback Player of the Year; 88 40/40 man; MLB Debut 9/2/85 Oakland A’s; 750 rbis in 1000 games; 4x Silver Slugger; 2x WS Champ; 6x All-Star. You see that? Only 86 of these babies in existence! Scoop it up before he has a career resurgence with the Worcester Tornadoes and the value of the ball skyrockets.
