Fox Sports Detroit:
CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera was hit near the right eye by a hard grounder and left Monday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Cabrera was wearing sunglasses, and it's uncertain whether the wicked one-hopper off Hunter Pence's bat hit the right lens or just under it. Cabrera wiped blood off with his hand and held a towel to his face as he walked off the field.
During its broadcast of the game, ESPN reported that Cabrera was sent to a hospital for x-rays and stitches.
Cabrera is making the transition back to third base this spring because Detroit signed first baseman Prince Fielder.

If you like blood and stuff, video is here. He went to a nearby hospital for x-rays, which were negative. He did receive a few stitches and what I can imagine will be a pretty nasty...

The biggest question surrounding the Tigers' spring training is whether Miguel Cabrera can play third base. He lost about 20 pounds over the winter and has said all the right things since Prince Fielder came aboard, but the jury is still out. He didn't get off to a great start by booting the first ball hit to him this spring, but since he's committed to putting...
It was a sight of sore eyes, not for them.

From Lynn Henning's update on Miguel Cabrera's injury:Neither the Tigers, nor Cabrera, expect that last year's American League batting champion will miss Opening Day, April 5 at Comerica Park.Am I in the minority thinking that MiggyCab won't be ready for Opening Day?
