Just over a year after a bizarre kidnapping case that thankfully ended without tragedy, Cal Ripken Jr. and his family have decided to offer a substantial reward for information leading to the arrest of those to abducted his mother, Vi Ripken.  According to Justin George of The Baltimore Sun, Cal felt strongly the time was now to try to nab the criminal to make sure he doesn’t do something like this again: “This might not be the first time he did it, and we want to make sure it’s his last,” said Ripken, 52. Her decisions are not as easy,” he said. Vi Ripken was abducted on July 24, 2012 from her home in Aberdeen, MDCredit: Fox 45 Baltimore The  reward is actually offered by the entire Ripken family and Ripken Baseball, a family-run company that owns their hometown Aberdeen IronBirds and other ventures. Major League Baseball’s all time Iron Man (xxxx consecutive games) showed his softer side in a press release (courtesy of Kevin Richardson/Baltimore Sun video): “America’s Most Wanted” host John Walsh is also offering support of the Ripken family search for justic.  Here’s hoping the criminal (or criminals) get brought to justice, surely someone knows something and $100K is a tidy sum to lead to justice.
