On Oct. 21st Marty Noble reported that the Mets were interested in Mike Cameron to return as the left fielder. That was quickly dismissed because it was believed that Cammy would only accept offers to play center field.The 36 y/o right hander is a three time gold glove and one time all-star who still has the speed and range to play center field.
