Found March 06, 2013 on The Crazy Crabbers:
Hunter Pence has been the talk of the Giants, partially for his crazy singing and dancing and also because he will play a very import role in the 2013 Giants offense. Over at Bay Area Sports Guy I wrote up a post looking at what to expect from Pence in 2013. When the Giants traded for Hunter Pence last season they thought that they were getting a big bat to fill the middle of their lineup. It didn't quite turn out that way for the Giants with Pence hitting just .219/.287/.384 in 248 plate appearances, not that it ultimately mattered as the Giants won the World Series in spite of his offensive ineptitude. Looking back at his partial season with the Giants, he put up numbers well below his career norms. His full year stats also resulted in career lows in batting average, slugging, isolated power, strike out rate and Wins Above Replacement. His season was so bad that he lost 7 points on his career batting average, 4 points on his on base percentage and 10 points on his slugg...

Hunter Pence records jam session in his car

Hunter Pence took the whole “don’t text while driving” caution to a whole new level recently when he recorded himself singing and dancing while driving.  The San Francisco Giants outfielder is apparently looking for ways to spend occupy his time during spring training.  Late Monday, Pence tweeted that “I got something for everyone’s viewing pleasure. (What happens when...

SF Giants Rumors: Brandon Crawford, Brian Wilson, Left Field Competition, Hunter Pence and Tim Lincecum

Credit: Steven Robles – SF Giants Rumors If you attend Spring Training you get to see players have a little stretching session prior to batting practice. Then you see them joking around while shagging balls in the outfield. Others are getting their swings in and working on bunting. However, you might miss the hard work that these players actually put in. Brandon Crawford started...

SF Giants Rumors: Tim Lincecum, Chad Gaudin, Brett Pill

Credit: Steven Robles – SF Giants Rumors Today is the day that Tim Lincecum was scheduled to return to the mound from his blister injury. He wasn’t ready to go, but did manage to get a bullpen session in. To me that’s still putting in work, so I’m good with that! Alex Pavlovic of the San Jose Mercury News says (via Twitter) Lincecum’s bullpen session went well, and he’s...

Hunter Pence Needs To Stop Making Selfie Videos Of Him Singing

Hunter Pence who is an outfielder for the San Francisco Giants needs to play more often. Someone tell skipper Bruce to make sure that Hunter is in the lineup day after day or the Internet will be flooded with more videos like this in which Hunter pierces the viewers soul and eyes. I got something for everyone’s viewing pleasure.(What happens when I don’t play) — Hunter Pence...

Hunter Pence sings and makes funny faces in his car (Video)

San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence posted a video of himself singing (if you can call it that) the Calvin Harris hit "Feel So Close" in his car. Pence then followed it up with "The Grand Finale", during which he spared us from the singing and simply made funny faces in his car as "Feel So Close" continued to play. This was definitely...

Buster Posey Gets Ripped On In MLB 13 The Show TV Spot

You have to give it to Buster Posey here for being such a good sport, and also have to give it to the folks at PlayStation for churning out this great TV spot. It is a mix of a very uncomfortable interview with the kid who shoots free throws underhand from ‘Hoosiers’ and a ‘Between Two Ferns’ episode. Gold. Article found on: Cosby Sweaters

Giants' Tim Lincecum battling a blister

Tim Lincecum is working his way back from the fall he took last year.  No this was not a physical fall.  Lincecum fell from dominant starter, to reliever, to spot starter last season.  He was still able to contribute to the San Francisco Giants' World Series victory, but he wants to be a starter full time.  This spring will give him the opportunity to prove he can still...

Sergio Romo Isn’t Entirely Not Greg Maddux

It might be hard to believe this after Sergio Romo closed out the World Series and probably wrapped up the stopper role going forward for the Giants and Team Mexico, but there was a time when the prognosis for his career was much more negative. After all, he’s a small righty (five-foot-ten and a buck-eighty-five) with a fastball that doesn’t normally crack 90 miles per hour who...

Tim Lincecum scratched from another spring start

Tim Lincecum has been scratched from his scheduled start today. It will be the second consecutive spring start that the 28-year-old has missed. Lincecum has been dealing with a blister on his pitching hand but should be ready to go in a couple of days. In his first spring start Lincecum struggled allowing three runs and four hits in 1 1/3 innings. The Giants will hope for better...

A Spring Training Event with Willie Mays Not to be Missed

I will not be in Scottsdale, Arizona this week for San Francisco Giants Spring Training. And it's killing me. Because this Thursday March 7, 2013  Tommy Bahama's Restaurant is hosting "Tommy Bahama Presents an Evening with Willie Mays" at their restaurant at 15205 North Kierland Blvd in Scottsdale-- a cozy meet-and-greet with the greatest baseball player in...
