How funny is this? Canada and Mexico have a fight, in America, over America’s past time.
Last night at the WBC, Canada and Mexico got into an epic brawl after Canada’s Rene Tosoni was hit in the back by a pitch from Mexico’s Arnold Leon. A bunt single by Chris Robinson heightened the tension in the 9th inning with Canada already leading 9-3. In the WBC, run differential is the first tie breaker.
Check out the video after the jump.
When Mexico’s third baseman, Luis Cruz fielded the bunt, he made a clear and obvious gesture to Leon to drill Tosoni.

To be honest, Mexico got what they asked for. They were talking trash without knowing the rules and got smoked in this fight. Boston reliever Alfredo Aceves was beaten to the ground by Philadelphia Phillies minor league outfielder Tyson Gillies during the apex of the brawl. Then on the edge of the fray, another Phillies prospect Jay Johnson, unloaded with lefts on Eduardo Arredondo.
