Jaime Garcia has been out since Game Two of the National League Division Series.  He experienced pain in his left shoulder and was removed after the second inning of that game.  Later, it was learned that Garcia had been experiencing pain in the shoulder for a while, but he kept it to himself.  The team left him off the National League Championship roster and it seems clear that he will not pitch again this postseason.  However, Garcia is not ready to succumb to surgery. Matt Snyder of CBS Sports says Garcia plans to rehab his left shoulder before undergoing surgery.  His goal is to avoid surgery altogether.  Snyder says Garcia will try two to three weeks of rehab and then make a decision on surgery. Garcia was 7-7 for the St. Louis Cardinals this season with a 3.92 ERA.  He just wrapped up his fourth Major League season, all with the Cardinals.  In his career, Garcia is 34-23 with a 3.43 ERA.  His best season came in 2010 when Garcia posted a 2.70 ERA.
