Found October 28, 2013 on Next Impulse Sports:
There were several people who couldn’t understand why the Red Sox, up by two runs, were holding Kolten Wong on the bag with two outs in the ninth inning of Game 4 last night. One of those people was Cardinals play-by-play announcer Michael Shannon, who openly laughed at Mike Napoli holding Wong on and even called it “silly.” His radio call starts around the 2:00 minute mark in the video above. Ultimately, though, Shannon was the one who wound up looking silly as Koji Uehara successfully picked off Wong at first base to end the game just seconds later. He later went to sleep Sunday night with a strong taste of crow in his mouth. [Awful Announcing] Article found on: Next Impulse Sports

WATCH: Kolten Wong apologizes for being picked-off at first

Just when you thought a World Series couldn't get any stranger, right? Fresh off the heels of the obstruction call that won the St. Louis Cardinals Game Three, the Boston Red Sox were able to get the stars to align in their favor to win Game Four...in the form of a game-ending pick off pick off at first base. No doubt you've seen the replay, but in case you didn'...

Why the “Baseball’s Best Fans” Twitter account is stupid

St. Louis Cardinals’ fans have long considered themselves “the best fans in baseball” for some odd reason. It is a stupid statement, something that reeks of entitlement and arrogance. They believe that some kind of greater power blesses the great city of St. Louis and their baseball team because of their amazing fans. In order to “expose” the great Cardinals fans as ...

Cardinals radio announcer openly laughs at Red Sox holding runner on seconds before game-winning pickoff

There were several people who couldn’t understand why the Red Sox, up by two runs, were holding Kolten Wong on the bag with two outs in the ninth inning of Game 4 last night. One of those people was Cardinals play-by-play announcer Michael Shannon (no, not that Michael Shannon), who openly laughed at Mike Napoli holding Wong on and even called it “silly.” His radio call starts...

Here's Koji Uehara's Game 4 ending pickoff of Kolten Wong

For the first time in history, a World Series game ended on a pickoff. Koji Uehara nabbed Kolten Wong straying off of first base for the 27th Cardinals out of the game. I have no idea why Wong was even screwing around with taking a substantial lead, considering that A) the Red Sox were winning by two runs and Wong was the only runner on base, and B) Carlos Beltran, the greatest...

Wong gets caught slipping at first

The situation was playing out as well as the Cardinals could have asked for. A day after scoring the chaotic and gutsy winning run in Game 3, Allen Craig was again at the plate to pinch hit, and his one-out 370-foot single off Koji Uehara gave the Cardinals life down two runs in the ninth. There was no way Cardinals manager Mike Matheny was going to ask him to run the bases again...

Red Sox beat the Cardinals on game-ending pick off in Game 4

The Boston Red Sox evened up the World Series after Sunday night’s 4-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals after a walk-off pick off. With Carlos Beltran at the plate, Red Sox closer Koji Uehara picked off pinch-runner Kolten Wong with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning. Wild last couple games. Game 5 is Monday in St. Louis.

Video: Fox’s cameras botched Koji Uehara’s game-winning pickoff in real time

Fox completely missed Koji Uehara's game-winning pickoff of Kolten Wong to end Game 4 of the World Series.

Cardinals radio laughs at holding the runner

Your browser does not support iframes. Game 4's peculiar walkoff pickoff ending produced a not-so-great moment for Fox when their cameras were too busy scanning Busch Stadium for attractive, worried Cardinals fans to catch the play.  It also produced an incredible moment of irony in the Cardinals radio booth.  Here from MLB.com is the TV and radio calls from last night...

Red Sox Even World Series.

The Boston Red Sox have tied the World Series up at 2 after a 4-2 win tonight. The ending to this game wasn’t as crazy as last night but was still wild. Cardinals pinch runner Kolten Wong was picked off at first by Red Sox closer Koji Uehara to end the game with Carlos Beltran […]

Jonny Gomes Nearly Gets Beard Ripped Off His Face Following Three-Run Home Run (GIF)

Mike Napoli almost ruined about a half-year’s worth of glorious beard-growth in one swipe. After Jonny Gomes belted his three-run home run in Game 4 of the World Series on Sunday night, Napoli greeted the left fielder at the top of the dugout to partake in the traditional beard-pulling ceremony. Napoli, as fired up as just about everyone else in Red Sox Nation, took a fist full...

GIF: Mike Napoli gives Jonny Gomes’ beard a huge World Series pull

Mike Napoli gave his Boston Red Sox teammate Jonny Gomes a pretty funky beard-pull following his Game 4, three-run home run.

Red Sox know it’s not over

One more win? Try one more strike. That’s how close Mike Napoli was to being a champion. Leading 7-5 in the ninth inning of Game 6 of the 2011 World Series, the Texas Rangers were one strike from putting away the St. Louis Cardinals. But then, David Freese drove a 98-mph fastball over right fielder Nelson Cruz’ head for a game-tying triple. Texas blew another two-run lead in...

This Red Sox team is full of characters. They all bring something unique and special to the table and they've just been so incredibly fun to watch. Halloween night will be one of two things: The day after the Red Sox win the World Series or Game 7. Either way, it's literally the best opportunity you will ever have to rock a Red Sox costume. Here's some inspiration. ...

Toy Company Selling Limited-Edition Bearded Red Sox Player Figurines in Honor of #getbeard Campaign (Photo)

Things have gotten a little hairy over at OYO Sportstoys. The toy company — which specializes in selling mini figurines modeled after pro athletes — has jumped on the beard bandwagon and is selling special postseason, limited-edition versions of their Red Sox player figurines with their trademark beards. The figurines come with a baseball bat, a ball, a glove, a cap and a stand...
