The St. Louis Cardinals have agreed to a minor-league contract with infielder Alex Cora. Cora would earn $800,000 if he is added to the 40-man roster. The 36-year-old spent last season with the Washington Nationals, playing four positions. He batted .224 with six RBIs in 156 at-bats. Cora, known for his defense, has played with six teams during his 14-year career.
