Carl Pavano has been traded to division rival Minnesota in a post-deadline deal.
Pavano obviously cleared waivers and Minnesota has now got him. He'll be traded for the fan-favorite Player to be Named Later.
Rafael Perez claims his roster spot from Triple-A Columbus, so much for not seeing him in a long time... He's baaaack.
Anyway, wow.. didn't think anyone would want him, but the Indians were probably ready to say, if someone wants him, they can have him. Save a little more money on his incentives and maybe get a throw-in along the lines.
The PTBNL will probably be nothing. If anything, the Indians don't owe him any money anymore.
And that will also end any chances of re-signing him. That wasn't happening anyway.
Who's taking his rotation spot is the next question. Lord only knows.
And so much for five players remaining on the active roster all year. Down to four.
