Do you remember Carlos Gomez? Lanky kid, fast, played center field for the Twins? He was supposed to be a key element for the Twins outfield going forward. Then Denard Span and Ben Revere came along. Anywho, I was recently introduced to his Twitter account, @C_Gomez27. When he tweets, it is in Spanish, which is important if you want to learn a new language. More importantly, Gomez tweets pictures. A lot of pictures. A lot of surreal pictures. Some favorites are below.
First, a little training on the beach,

Hart postpones surgery for second opinion
MILWAUKEE Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Corey Hart was supposed to be in Milwaukee on Tuesday not to enjoy the subzero temperatures but to have arthroscopic surgery on his ailing right knee.
But the team announced Tuesday morning that Hart's plans to have the procedure with Brewers physician Dr. William Raasch are on hold for at least the time being. Hart will get a second...
Report: Morgan signs with Yokohama BayStars
Former Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Nyjer Morgan is reportedly headed to play in Japan next season.
According to the Japanese newspaper Nikkan, Morgan has agreed to a contract with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars of the Japanese Central League.
Morgan, 32, hit just .239 with three home runs and 16 RBI in 2012.
Though fans fell in love with his alter-ego, "Tony Plush," Morgan...

Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Corey Hart was scheduled to undergo right knee surgery Tuesday, but he didn't go under the knife. Instead, Hart postponed the operation so he could seek a second opinion, MLB.com and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. The MRI of Hart's knee will be sent to Dr. Richard Steadman in Vail, Colo. "Until we get past this step, we don...
Crosby signs minor-league deal
Infielder Bobby Crosby signed a minor-league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday, continuing a trend for players represented by Paul Cohen.
Crosby, 33, is the third Cohen client to come out of retirement with the Brewers in recent years, following the paths of outfielders Gabe Kapler and Jim Edmonds.
Kapler sat out 2007 and played for three more seasons after joining...
Looking at the Brewers in 2013
Year one without Prince Fielder for the Milwaukee Brewers ended a little
sooner than most had hoped. After making the playoffs in 2011 and winning a
total of 96 games, they only managed 83 wins in 2012 while finishing third
in the National League Central. The question is, have they made enough
moves to contend for a playoff spot in 2013?
The biggest loss for the Brewers this offseason...
Marco Estrada: 2013 Fantasy Sleeper
Last year, there were only three pitchers who started at least 10 games while averaging more than 8.00 K/9 and fewer than 2.00 B/9. It’s easy to understand why striking out more batters while walking fewer means more value, however, those three players’ current ADPs on MockDraftCentral sit at 31st, 77th, and 226th overall.
Just to back that up (the ADPs on MDC can be a bit weird...

Loney used to be a very good fielder and an above average hitter. Over the past few years he has been very bad offensively. He fell to a career...
