Prosecutors filed papers amending the original indictment in the Barry Bonds' case. Bonds was charged with four counts of perjury and one of obstruction of justice. This had to change after a hearing on Nov 15. U.S. District Court Judge Susan Illston instructed the prosecutors to amend the indictment because it as was "unwieldy and was replete with charges that listed multiple offenses." With this written order, Attorney Joseph Russoniello informed "the Court and counsel that the government intends to seek a superseding indictment in this case." There was no other information given.
