The Windy City Showdown continues as Craig Robinson and Nick Offerman battle in the 7th inning stretch, and there seems to be a clear winner. Unfortunately for North-siders it looks like the White Sox took the seventh inning stretch duel and have won. You can view the first episode HERE, and the second edition HERE.

White Sox shortstop Alexei Ramirez apparently smoked a cigar in the dugout before a game, and we now have a picture of it happening on June 7th. It is often that you see baseball players in the past enjoying some chew, but a cigar prior to a game is on a different level.

The Chicago White Sox agreed to terms on Monday with outfielder Courtney Hawkins, the No. 13th pick in this year's draft.
The 18-year-old Hawkins from Corpus Christi, Texas, hit .437 with 11 home runs, 39 RBI, 17 stolen bases and 56 runs in 36 games for Carroll High School. Hawkins was the ESPNHS Gatorade Texas Baseball Player of the Year, and was rated second by Baseball America...
With the way Phil Humber and Gavin Floyd have pitched recently, it’s becoming obvious that if the Chicago White Sox are going to make a move at the trade deadline, starting pitcher is where they will look.
While third base and left-handed relief pitching have been issues as well, the Sox look like they are beginning to realize that they cannot expect to win a division with two...
So is this the kind of pregame fuel players are using in Chicago these days? I can’t imagine this was acceptable under Ozzie Guillen, unless the player was sharing his stogies, of course. Maybe this is just what Cuban-born shortstop Alexei Ramirez grew up on. Nothing to see here, move along.

Despite the Cubs’ bats being asleep for the better part of this season, they certainly woke up Monday against the Chicago White Sox as they crushed the hometown team 12-3. In an effort to preserve the young Chris Sale’s arm, reliever Zach Stewart started...

Just over two weeks ago, the White Sox were rolling. It seemed they were scoring at will, and teams did not stand a chance to outslug the Chicago White Sox.
However, it appears that all that mashing masked a huge problem the White Sox have developed.
Now that the offense has come back down to Earth, it’s clear that outside of a few people, the White Sox pitching is not good enough...
Alexei Ramirez opened the scoring with a two-run single and scored the go-ahead run for the Chicago White Sox, who blew a lead to the Los Angeles Dodgers for the second straight game before coming back to beat them 5-4 on Saturday night.
Philip Humber (3-4) threw 99 pitches over five laborious innings, but got the victory after allowing four runs and nine hits. The right-hander...
He is currently leading the American League in batting average -- yes, even ahead of the force of nature otherwise known as Josh Hamilton. He has hit 82 home runs since the start of the 2010 season, which is more than near-Triple Crown winner Matt Kemp. He has driven in only two fewer runs since the start of that same season than the great Albert Pujols. He owns a higher slugging...
I think the White Sox have already claimed the Dead Pelican Cup, even if their entire team comes down with the plague and the Cubs eke out a sweep this week. The White Sox are a legit contender in the AL Central, in fact they're the only team with a positive run differential in the whole group. Their +36 is third best in the AL, trailing only the Yankees and Rangers. They'...
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Alexei Ramirez opened the scoring with a two-run single and scored the go-ahead run for the Chicago White Sox, who blew a lead to the Los Angeles Dodgers for the second straight game before coming back to beat them 5-4 on Saturday night.

The Chicago White Sox have dominated the Chicago Cubs at home over the past four years.
Extending that run to five may not be a problem.
The White Sox, who used a major power display to sweep the Cubs last month, welcome the team with baseball's worst record to U.S. Cellular Field for Monday night's opener of a three-game set.
The Cubs (22-44) have dropped nine of their...
Comeback Player of the Year is one of those awards they hand out early in the “awards week.” Its given to a player who’s had a good season the year immediately following a season in which they were injured, performed poorly, or didn’t play. Pervious winners have included Ken Griffey Jr. (who rebounded from and injury), Nomar Garciaparra (Injury), Cliff Lee (Poor Performance...
Is underscored again as a famous White Sox fan has fun at his expense.
What follows is the the third installment of the New Era ballcaps ads featuring actors Nick Offerman and Craig Robinson sporting Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs caps. This one is the funniest by far; as it features Robinson in his Sox cap doing a lounge song version of “Take me out to the Ballgame.”
It’s a viral vid sure to spice up the latest edition of the Red Line Series...
