Chipper Jones has a lot of time on his hands now that he’s retired from baseball, so he keeps busy with hunting and fishing and outdoorsy stuff. Chipper also helps out around the house with chores and whatnot, but after what happened when Jones cleaned out the fireplace earlier today, he might not be asked to help out around the house again. Lol. Tried to do my daily chores and cleaned out the fireplace. Went and dumped the ashes. Alls good right? Nope. Set the woods on fire! Ugh — Chipper Jones (@RealCJ10) January 23, 2014 I got firefighters all over my place! Thank you Roswell Fire Dept. — Chipper Jones (@RealCJ10) January 23, 2014 How bad could the fire have been? If these pictures from Chipper’s lady friend Taylor Higgins are any indication, pretty damn bad… @RealCJ10 cleaned the fireplace out today.meet the neighbors too..they came 2 say they called the fire dept #thanks pic.twitter.com/WjBliZHU80 — Taylor Higgins (@lilgeorgiapeach) January 23, 2014 Chipper’s lucky he didn’t burn the whole forest down. You’d figure a guy who spends so much time outdoors would know how to dispose of smoldering ashes properly, but here we are. PLAYERS: Chipper Jones
TEAMS: Atlanta Braves
  • Anything to keep the name out there?
  • Only he could have prevented that accident. Shame for the birds. I messed up by giving what most would call a proven method to help Lotto lovers pick cool numbers by listening closely to bird songs outside. I told a nosy relative how I got some winning numbers in NJ and had given my numbers and claim receipt to ex. Atlanta Brave, Javier Lopez at one of the luncheons in 2004. I think I told too much in 2012. I guess if you can afford it, what you did is not as bad. Debra Sharon Anderson.
