LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Ty Young delivered a one-out bases loaded single in the bottom of the 10th innings to lift the No. 5 ranked Louisville Cardinals to an 8-7 win over the Alabama Crimson Tide on Sunday afternoon from Jim Patterson Stadium. The Cardinals (12-2) swept the three-game series over the Crimson Tide (8-7).

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Alabama baseball team suffered a heartbreaking 4-3 loss in 14 innings to No. 5 Louisville on Friday evening from Jim Patterson Stadium. The Cardinals scored the game-winning run on a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the 14th, to drop the Crimson Tide's overall record to 8-5, while improving to 10-2 on the season.
Last year on Senior Day, Louisville came out and laid an egg, losing to USF. This year they played in a game where they had a Big East Championship on the line and the Cards did not disappoint. It didn’t take any overtimes this time as the Cards downed the Irish 73-57. Peyton Siva, Gorgui Dieng, and Mike Marra will go out as winners.
