Ed Coleman reported on WFAN that the Mets will soon announce that Shaun Marcum is done for the year. ”It hasn’t been announced here today, but it’s coming shortly. He’s pitched his last game with the Mets”
According to Coleman, the Mets are working with Marcum’s agent on contract details which has $4 million in incentives that are set to kick in.
As I wrote last week, no chance in hell the Mets let that happen.
Marcum has been dealing with tingling and numbness in his fingers related to pain in his upper back and shoulder.
Never came across as New York guy, not surprised, won’t miss him… A bust…
