Guillermo Moscoso gave the Rockies what they should have expected. The Colorado Rockies learned the lesson the hard way on Saturday night that add-on runs can really add up.Immediately following a three run 4th inning, Rockies starter Guillerrmo Moscoso gave up three runs of his own in the top of the 5th inning. The three runs came with two outs. In the 9th inning, with two outs recorded, reliever Edgmer Escolona gave up a double to Mike Baxter. The out should have been recorded by right fielder Michael Cuddyer, but Cuddyer took three huge steps back after the ball was hit before breaking in on the sinking blooper. The ball rattled out of his glove and Baxter cruised into second base. He later scored from third on a wild pitch from Escolona, giving the Mets a three-run cushion. The extra runs allowed the Mets breathing room, but barely enough to survive. After Dexter Fowler drilled a solo shot into the Mets bullpen with two outs in the 9th, then Tyler Colvin hit a pinch hit triple to ...

Rocky Mountain Remove My Eyes With A Melon Baller
Mets Blob would rather skinny dip with Rusty Staub in a kiddie pool than watch the Mets play the Rockies in Colorado: The odd start time, the stupid ballpark, the freaking obligatory shot of the mountains. All of it sucks. Do Blobbers feel the same about Colorado games, or does the Blob stand alone here?

This afternoon, the New York Mets will look to take the rubber match against the Colorado Rockies in a series that has proven to be a battle of the braun . Over the course of the first 2 games of the series, 38 men have crossed the plate in a series of back-and-forth slugfests. The rubber match will ultimately be a battle of 2 elite pitchers, although their status as elite comes under...
On a night with the undisputed oddest game of the season, including a cycle, an eleven run, four error inning, a runner hit by a ball running to second, a catcher’s interference on a pitch out, a grand slam, and a major league debut, there are a lot to talk about. So let’s start with Pelfrey’s replacement, Chris Schwinden. A rude welcoming to the majors by Colorado....
Slumping Ike Davis will sit tonight against Rockies lefthander Drew Pomeranz, and in his stead newly recalled 3b/1B Zach Lutz gets the start. Davis has been mired in an early season slump where he is hitting an anemic .132.
Kirk Nieuwenhuis returns home to Colorado and looks to continue his solid play in front on family and friends.

DENVER -- The Mets led by four runs at one point Friday night. In typical Coors Field fashion, they lost by more than twice that many. Carlos Gonzalez had five of his six RBI in an 11-run fifth inning as the Colorado Rockies clubbed the Mets 18-9. Left forearm tightness forced Rockies starter Drew Pomeranz to depart after four innings with the game tied 2-2. Esmil Rogers replaced...
The Mets win a three game weekend series against the Rockies, taking the rubber game 6-5 in eleven innings. This was a really strange series where we pretty much saw the unexpected. The Mets scored 9 runs on Friday night, only to see the Rocks score 18! One guy hit for the cycle, another hit a grand slam pitch hit home run, certainly not your generic, run of mill series.
DENVER - After using six pitchers Friday night in an excruciating loss, the Mets sent Dillon Gee to the mound Saturday to restore order against the Rockies at Coors Field. He succeeded by giving them seven innings and throwing a career-high 116 pitches as the Mets beat the Rockies 7-5. Lucas Duda hit a two-run homer and drove in four runs, and Ruben Tejada, Daniel Murphy and...
