Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Zack Greinke has been working without an agent this past year but that does not mean a contract extension couldn’t happen at some point in the next couple months.
Greinke parted ways with Creative Artists Agency Sports after he was traded to the Brewers from the Kansas City Royals on December 17, 2010. Since Greinke is signed through this season he never felt rushed to find new representation. Not to mention the fact he enjoys being the captain of his own ship.
“I’ll talk to [the Brewers] about [an extension]. I don’t really want to talk to anyone else about it. But I like the business of baseball. It’s exciting for me. It’s not like I plan on being my agent, but it is exciting being able to know what’s going on behind the scenes.”
