James Cox of Tuscaloosa Northridge was one of the first juniors in the state of Alabama to pick up an SEC scholarship offer. After a strong camp showing in Starkville back in June, Cox got the word he had a spot at Mississippi State if he elected to take it. A budding relationship between James and the Bulldogs got a nice boost as Cox visited the campus for the game against South Carolina
