A green Reds' hat? That ain't right.
It's just spring training but it's always nice to beat those rivals from the north and that's just what the Reds (7-9-1) did in convincing fashion on Saturday, beating the Indians (4-9) by a score of 9-2. Bronson Arroyo had his best outing of the spring, while Zack Cozart led the way offensively.
Now let's take a look at the good, the bad, and the notables from today's St. Patrick's Day bout:The Good:
-Brandon Phillips got things off to a good start with a leadoff homerun.
-As mentioned Zack Cozart had a huge day, going 2-3, both triples, with three RBIs, and a run scored.
-Chris Valaika had a nice day, subbing in for Phillips, with two hits and two RBIs in three at-bats.
-Looking to get on track this spring, Chris Heisey had a strong 2-2 day, including two runs scored and two stolen bases.
-Bronson Arroyo had a great start, throwing four innings of one run ball, allowing four hits, while striking out two Indians, and walking none.
