A Chicago Cubs fan bobbled a foul ball and watched it bounce off the forehead of his female friend and land right in her full cup of beer during Thursday's game at Wrigley Field against the Florida Marlins.
In the top of the second, Marlins batter Hanley Ramirez hit a ground ball foul down the third base side that bounced off the top of the Cubs dugout into the stands. The male Cubs fan only had his left hand free and couldn't grip the ball as his right hand was holding his own beer.
The female fan was excited to end up with the ball and happily drank from her beer afterwards.

Ryan Dempster, slated to pitch tonight against the St. Louis Cardinals, might be the first big name pitcher to be dealt at the trade deadline.
Ryan Dempster and Will Ferrell
At age 35 Dempster is having a career season for the scuffling Cubs. He is 5-3 with a 1.86 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 75 K’s in 92 innings pitched. He also has one DL stint under his belt.
Despite a swirling rumor mill, Chicago Cubs ace Ryan Dempster made his start Friday night in a 4-1 loss to the Cardinals in St. Louis. Dempster's name has been mentioned in trade rumors for several weeks, and there had been speculation the Cubs were preparing to start right-hander Casey Coleman on Friday. Coleman was scratched from his scheduled start Thursday at Class AAA...
Brett Jackson went 2-5 with a stolen base and somehow DID NOT STRIKE OUT!!! Vitters was 2-4 and Chris Volstad was super ****** on the mound.
Logan Watkins continues to be one of the very few things worth talking about in AA. Yesterday he hit 2-5 with a triple. His average is up to .282.
Matt Szczur hit 3-4 and Ronald Torreyes continues to rebound batting...
It's been a surreal experience walking around the Chicago Cubs clubhouse lately. On one hand, the team has won 14 of its last 19 games, including Thursday's 4-2 victory over the Miami Marlins. The big key has been the starting pitching, which has put up a 2.54 ERA in the team's last eight games. But there's no guarantee all of those starting pitchers are going...
Chicago Cubs pitcher Ryan Dempster's 33-inning scoreless streak ended when he allowed three runs in the first inning against the Cardinals.
The Cardinals hit four straight singles in a span of six pitches with one out against the right-hander, who entered Friday night's game leading the major leagues with a 1.86 ERA. Carlos Beltran and Yadier Molina each had an RBI single...
I don’t even think Joe is terrible, but I can’t stand him in center.
The Cubs are weighing an offer they have received from the Dodgers for Ryan Dempster.
ST. LOUIS — Ryan Dempster is still scheduled to start against the Cardinals on Friday night for the Cubs, who are considering the latest offer from the Dodgers for the right-hander.
According to MLB.com's Ken Gurnick, the Dodgers have made an offer, but they won't get into a bidding...
With rumors flying that Ryan Dempster may get traded before his scheduled start today against St. Louis, a couple other Cubs mentioned as trade targets boosted their stock on Thursday. Alfonso Soriano was 2-for-4 with a homer and has become attractive to teams as long as Chicago picks up most of his contract. Paul Maholm is a possible pick-up for teams in need of pitching and he...
Starlin Castro homered and the Chicago Cubs batted around in a four-run seventh inning to beat the Miami Marlins 5-1 in a rain-shortened game Wednesday night.
Heavy rain began falling with Miami batting in the top of the eighth and the teams never returned to the field. The game was called after a 1-hour, 17-minute delay.
Castro hit his eighth home run of the season off Marlins...
Chicago Cubs president Theo Epstein met briefly with reporters on the field before Wednesday night's 5-1 victory over the Miami Marlins. Rain halted play in the top of the eighth inning, and umpires called the game after 1 hour and 17 minutes. Although the Cubs are rumored to be listening to offers for top starting pitchers Ryan Dempster and Matt Garza, Epstein termed the trade...
No, seriously, don’t. While 14 out of 19 has been a blast to watch, when the Cubs
brass does the right thing, the two best pitchers will be gone while Jay Jackson and Casey Coleman will be pitching every fifth day. And when that happens, ain’t no comeback coming.
With that out of the way, lets lay it down, pick it up, and have some fun.
• Thank you, Ronnie. Thank you for...
The Red Sox and the Cubs are likely to have a lot of conversations in the coming weeks, and it won't be because Theo Epstein and Ben Cherington are catching up on old times. The two will almost undoubtedly explore various trade scenarios with the July 31 deadline approaching, especially given the fact that the Cubs are in the middle of the rebuilding process while Boston looks...
According to a tweet from Jayson Stark of ESPN.com, the Cubs are "trying to trade Ryan Dempster ASAP", and that the Red Sox are out of the race for the veteran, but still interested in Matt Garza. On Tuesday, Stark reported that the Cubs were trying to move Dempster by the end of this week, Yesterday, Ken Rosenthal reported that Dempster's prefernece was...
ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Kyle Lohse worked seven strong innings and the St. Louis Cardinals' slumbering offense ended Ryan Dempster's 33-inning scoreless streak with a three-run first in a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Friday night.
Matt Holliday added a home run estimated at 469 feet, the longest at 7-year-old Busch Stadium, in the third inning.
Lohse (10-2) won his fourth...
The Chicago Cubs won Thursday’s series finale 4-2 to give them a series victory over the Miami Marlins. For the Marlins, the series loss comes at a time when the organization is debating whether to be sellers at the upcoming trade deadline. The Cubs who are not in playoff contention were seen as a foe that Miami could take at least two of three from. As it stands now...
