The Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday announced their 36-game spring training schedule, which includes 17 home games, two road games at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick and two exhibition games at Chase Field. This season will mark the third year at the shared spring training facility with the Colorado Rockies on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land near Scottsdale. The D-backs open their 16th spring training on Feb. 23 at Salt River Fields at against the Rockies for the third consecutive year. The D-backs have nine games against their National League West rivals, with three games against the Rockies and a pair of games each against the San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers. With the first round of the World Baseball Classic held in the Valley in 2013, the D-backs will play a spring training game against Team Mexico on March 5 at 7:10 p.m. at Salt River Fields. The special night game is the first of six evening games; there will also be matchups on March 13 against the Milwaukee Brewers at Salt River Fields, March 22 against the Cleveland Indians at Goodyear Ballpark, March 26 against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Salt River Fields and March 27 against the San Francisco Giants at Salt River Fields. The last night game will be the first of a two-game set against the Cincinnati Reds on March 29 and 30 at Chase Field to wrap up spring training. Tickets for all games at Salt River Fields are priced from 8-27. General admission lawn seating, with a capacity of about 4,000 people, will be 8, and tickets for 7,000 reserved seats in the seating bowl range from 18-27. The D-backs Plan, which offers tickets for each of the 17 home games at Salt River Fields, ranges in price from 136-459. The two exhibition games held at Chase Field are not included in the spring training ticket package but are available in the D-backs regular-season ticket packages. Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community members and D-backs and Rockies season-ticket holders may purchase season-ticket plans for spring training games at Salt River Fields exclusively between Dec. 17-19. Season-ticket plans for the D-backs 19 home games and all 33 spring training games at Salt River Fields featuring the D-backs and Rockies will go on sale to the public beginning Dec. 20. Individual game tickets for all 33 games at Salt River Fields will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Jan. 5. Tickets can be purchased in person at the D-backs ticket office at Chase Field, at dbacks.comspring or by calling 888-490-0383 or 480-362-9467. Individual tickets for the two exhibition games at Chase Field will go on sale at a later date. Last season, the D-backs sold out all 12 spring training games at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. In addition, the complexs joint attendance for the D-backs and Rockies set a new MLB-high of 369,393. The D-backs average spring training attendance of 11,677 is the highest in the majors.
