Your browser does not support iframes. Well, here is something you don't see everyday. On Sunday, during the Rockies-Padres game at Petco Park, this fan decided to make his way around the stadium on a pair of stilts. How did the man sneak into the park with stilts? We don't know. But we do know that he did and the result was one crazy spectacle.

Quo Vadimus: The Infield

Dana, I’m what the world considers to be a phenomenally successful man, and I’ve failed much more than I’ve succeeded. And each time I fail, I get my people together, and I say, “Where are we going?” And it starts to get better.” – Calvin Traeger, Sports Night Towards the end of the second and last season of the great, short-lived Aaron Sorkin dramedy Sports Night,...

Surgical procedure reveals additional problem for Padres' Cameron Maybin

Cameron Maybin had already been ruled out for the rest of the 2013 season when he decided to undergo wrist surgery, but he had at least hoped to play some winter ball to get ready for 2014. Now that's in jeopardy too, as Corey Brock of MLB.com reports that the San Diego Padres outfielder was diagnosed with an injury to his triangular fibrocartilage complex (TFCC), discovered...

Hundley hits big pinch-double, Padres top Rockies

Pinch-hitter Nick Hundley delivered a three-run double in the seventh inning that lifted the San Diego Padres to a 5-2 win over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. San Diego swept the three-game series and has won five of six. The Rockies have dropped five of six. After reliever Roy Oswalt (0-5) walked home the tying run, Hundley hit a sharp grounder down the third-base line off Wilton...

Gyorko's HR, deke top Rockies 2-1

There is more to Jedd Gyorko than the bat and the ability to play second base. The Padres love the baseball instincts of their rookie infielder. “He knows how the game is played how it works” Padres manager Bud Black said recently of Gyorko. “He is ahead when it comes to baseball instincts. He knows.” Saturday night all facets of Gyorko’s game came into play as the Padres...

Headley blast helps send Padres past Rockies

His season-long slump alive and well in September Chase Headley still can’t put a finger on one thing that’s dogged throughout this frustrating campaign. The Padres’ third baseman does know that one good swing can turn a bad night into a good one – just like that. Sitting on three strikeouts Headley led off the ninth inning with a mammoth game-tying homer off the third...

Hundley delivers pinch-hit three-run double in seventh seals Padres' sweep of Rockies

A change of scenery continues to breathe new life into Ian Kennedy’s game. Even if the Padres’ defense didn’t do him many favors his batterymates had his back Sunday afternoon. Kennedy struck out seven batters over five strong innings and Nick Hundley celebrated his 30th birthday with a pinch-hit three-run double that sent the Padres to a 5-2 win and their first home sweep...

Padres edge Rockies 2-1

Rookie Jedd Gyorko hit a go-ahead homer leading off the eighth inning to give the San Diego Padres a 2-1 win over the Colorado Rockies on Saturday night. Gyorko's shot off Matt Belisle (5-6) came right after the Rockies tied the game at 1 in the eighth inning on a San Diego error. Gyorko's 17th home run just barely cleared the right field wall as it hit the top padding...

This especially applies if you attended Padres Beerfest. The Padres defeated the Rockies in the bottom of the 9th inning by a score of 4-3 on a walk-off “hit” from Jesus Guzman. Padres rally for 4-3 win over Rockies

Colorado closer Rex Brothers has felt off in recent days. Chase Headley made him pay for it. Padres-Phillies Preview

Looking to extend a hot stretch just like their opponent is, the San Diego Padres likely have to generate the run support they've lacked in Andrew Cashner's recent starts to continue theirs.
