The Detroit Tigers have agreed to a one-year deal with reliever Octavio Dotel, with a team option for 2013. Dotel, who has pitched for 12 big league teams already, had a 3.50 ERA in 54 innings and went 5-4 last season for Toronto and St. Louis. The right-hander appeared in 12 postseason games in 2011, helping the Cardinals win the World Series.
