Daisuke Matsuzaka was put on the disabled list today after an MRI on his shoulder revealed a mild strain of his right rotator cuff. Dice-K tried his hand at arguing the move, saying that he wanted to pitch through the strain. Unfortunately when you still need a translator to complete post-game interviews, the chances of winning an argument with your English speaking manager are pretty slim. The DL move will be retroactive to Wednesday. Jeff Bailey has been called up to take Daisuke's spot on the roster. The logical move will be for Wakefield to take Daisuke's spot in the rotation this weekend because he will be on normal rest thanks to the day off; however, what will happen after that is anyone's guess.
