Found April 05, 2013 on Fox Sports Southwest:
ARLINGTON, Texas Yu Darvish, who was near perfect in his last start, will make his scheduled started Sunday against Los Angeles despite a blister issue on his right ring finger. Darvish developed the blister in the sixth inning of his start Tuesday night but carried a perfect game into the bottom of the ninth only to have Marwin Gonzalez break it up with a two-out single that went through Darvish's legs. "It's good," Darvish said of the blister. Tuesday's start wasn't the first time he's had a problem with a finger. He said he had issues in Japan, but it was more of a skin issue than a blister problem. Whether or not it impacts his pitch selection Sunday remains to be seen. "Even if I knew, I wouldn't be able to tell you right now," Darvish said. Darvish will start opposite Los Angeles ace Jered Weaver. It will also be the first time he's faced the Angels with Josh Hamilton in the lineup. "My approach stays the same no matter which team I face," Darvish said. "I'm just going to do my job."

Rangers' Yu Darvish ready to pitch again

Yu Darvish says he's ready to pitch again after coming within one out of a perfect game in his season debut. Darvish's next start is Sunday, the finale of the home-opening series against the Los Angeles Angels and five days after his gem against Houston. Darvish said Friday the blister that developed on the ring finger of his right hand during that game isn't a problem...

Yu Darvish had a finger blister during near-perfect came

Pitchers have landed on the DL due to a blister on their finger before.  They have been scratched from starts.  They have come out of starts.  I'm not trying to minimize the impact a blister can have on a pitcher's performance, I'm simply trying to upsell what Yu Darvish did Tuesday night.  He pitched a near-perfect game with a blister on his finger. According...

Darvish almost perfect for Rangers against Astros

Texas manager Ron Washington was certainly impressed as he watched Yu Darvish flirt with perfection. He was even more blown away when he saw a television replay of the Japanese star coming within an out of the second perfect game in Rangers history. Washington says, ''he was nasty ... his ball was moving all over the place.'' The celebrated right-hander struck...

Friday I’m in Love with Yu

We have almost a week of baseball in the books and Yu Darvish's Marvishlous 14 K 1-hitter and Chris Davis' power surge have been early standouts. Don't own either? That's a shame. Feel like quitting? Not yet, Razzball Nation, I am here to help. You may remember me, Dan, or my alter ego Blairtch, from such fantasy Friday roundups as Mike Trout Saved My Season, But...

Rangers Pitcher Wears Minnie Mouse Backpack

As if last night was not difficult enough for Texas Rangers fans having to watch Yu Darvish blow a perfect game with just one out remaining.  It seems that relief pitcher Joe Ortiz was spotted wearing a pink Minnie Mouse backpack as he walked to the dugout from the bullpen. I desperately want to make fun of Ortiz but I’m sure there is some nice story about a kid with an incurable...

Rangers 4, Astros 0

A day after Yu Darvish came within one out of a perfect game, Alexi Ogando and four Texas relievers shut out the Astros again, combining for a five-hitter in the Rangers' 4-0 win over Houston on Wednesday. Lance Berkman doubled in a run for the Rangers a day after they blanked Houston 7-0 behind Darvish's nearly historic gem. Ogando (1-0) allowed four hits with a career...
