Dunn and Dunner:
With Justin Lehr gone to Korea there is now a rotation spot open in Louisville. The Bats already replaced Lehr's roster spot with Ramon Ramirez which is odd considering he spent a lot of last year as a reliever and he's not exactly having a good season this year posting a 4.74 era in 9 games as a starter. Id have to imagine that he's not going to AAA to be a starter so that leaves another roster move to be made correct? That move could very well be Daryl Thompson.
Thompson is having a great 2008 and is making his case to be a September call-up at the rate he is going. Thompson, who was acquired in the Kearns deal, is 3-2 with an outrageously low 1.76 era in his 10 starts. He is putting up a 8.21 k/9 ratio which includes 1 start where he recorded zero strike outs. Not only is he striking out people at a high rate he's simply not walking anyone either with his 2.05 bb/9 ratio. Needless to say it should be interesting to see what happens regarding that rotation spot for the Bats.
Another option could be Ben Jukich but I don't want it to be him so I'm not going to write anything about him.
