Ask any Indians fan this single question. Who should begin the 2009 season as the team’s fourth outfielder? I bet you at least 85 percent of the answers are in favor of Trevor Crowe – who by the way has no major league experience.

It is a statement that is loud and clear. The fans dislike David Dellucci so much that they would prefer to have a guy who has only played a total of 35 games above Double-A, and who struck out a terrifyingly high 30-percent of the time during those same games.

That is not to dismiss Trevor Crowe and his abilities though. He’s a switch-hitting speed outfielder who has some pop to his bat, can draw some walks, and can play all three outfield positions. He also has been ranked as high as eighth in pre-season prospect ranking lists and has rightfully earned a shot at the open
