I’m interested in asking if Derek Jeter is gay because it’s the type of question people are fascinated with, even if they don’t want to admit it.
I don’t think people really care if someone is gay. People are more interested in the, “Ooh look, we caught a celebrity doing something they don’t want us to know about” type of thing.
So, is Derek Jeter gay?
I saw Derek Jeter dress up as a woman on Saturday Night Live, which threw me for a loop. Have you seen the video? I can’t find it on YouTube.
He’s 35, going on 36, and not married. That’s a long time for a straight man to wait to get married.
He’s a good looking guy that a lot of women like. There are times when women like gay male celebrities but don’t know the celebrity is gay.
The guy just looks…“pretty.”
Could he be a closet gay?
Maybe he thinks he’ll ruin his endorsement deals if he comes out and tells every one that he is gay. He has a pinup boy-image and needs to be seen in public with beautiful girls all the time to maintain that.
Maybe he would rather have people whisper that he is gay than come out and admit it.
If you look at the picture I posted, he has his shirt off with some fellow ball players. If I was professional baseball player, I don’t think I’d be so quick to take my shirt off for a magazine like I’m in some homoerotic art shoot.
Maybe Jeter is being metrosexual in the picture?
What gets me is the amount of beautiful women he’s been seen dating.
Usually, when a guy tries to hide his sexuality, he finds one woman to pretend to date and sticks with her for awhile.
Can someone be gay and “date” as many women Jeter has?
In July of 2008, Derek Jeter said he hopes to be married in the next five years.
Throughout his career, he’s dated Mariah Carey, Miss Universe Lara Dutta, Jordana Brewster, Scarlett Johansson, Gabrielle Union, Jessica Alba, Adriana Lima, Vanessa Minillo, Jessica Biel, and Minka Kelly.
Does anyone actually think he went up to all those women and said, “Hey, will you pretend you are dating me? I need to act like I’m straight.”
Maybe Jeter is bisexual and likes to play on both sides of the fence?
Here’s my final verdict: I don’t care.
As long as he helps the Yankees win more championships, he could be as gay or straight as he wants.
Just help the Yankees win.
