I know this might not be the most popular opinion among the readers, but I’ve been thinking about Ryan Franklin and some of the comments he said recently and, well, I’ve started to agree with him. I have changed my mind within 24 hours actually. Just yesterday I was bad-mouthing Franklin to a friend about what he said. But then I looked at it from his perspective. For those who are not familiar with what he said, here’s the rundown. After being removed from the closer role, Ryan Franklin went in to his second inning of work against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday. The first batter he faced, Laynce Nix, hit a towering homer off the struggling reliever, which elicited boos from the crowd. Franklin then walked the next batter and the boos became louder.
