The Arizona Diamondbacks' dormant offense broke out Tuesday night.
A.J. Pollock doubled, tripled and drove in three runs, and Patrick Corbin scattered four hits over six innings to help the Diamondbacks beat the Chicago Cubs 10-4.
''It's definitely good to get the offense going,'' Pollock said. ''We know we have it. For whatever reason it's kind of been lacking in the last week or so. It's good to bust out and show we've got it. We've just got to relax.''
Corbin (12-1) allowed one run, struck out six and walked three for the Diamondbacks, who won for the second time in five games since the All-Star break to remain a half-game behind the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West.
''Patrick wasn't very sharp early, but he's just really good at battling through things,'' said Arizona manager Kirk Gibson. ''It's only fitting he got the win.''
