The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired Chris Johnson from the Houston Astros for minor league outfielders Marc Krauss and Bobby Borchering, the teams announced.
Johnson is currently hitting .279/.329/.428 with eight homers and 41 RBIs in 368 plate appearances. He has logged time at the corner infield and outfield positions but is primarily considered a third baseman, which was an area of need for the D'backs.
Borchering, 21, and Krauss, 24, were both taken in the 2009 draft by Arizona with Borchering being taken in the first round and Krauss in the second, both of whom were currently in Double-A.
