Nominally when you hear that there is a lot of buzz surrounding a baseball team it's because of their good play on the field but that is not the case with the Arizona Diamondbacks (who share a complex in Arizona with the Colorado Rockies.) Sunday's spring training contest against the Giants was delayed in the second inning for 41 minutes because of bees.

"I was not going to get stung, so I walked back to the dugout," said the Diamondbacks' Ian Kennedy, showing off the mettle that makes baseball players the envy of athletes everywhere.

After the players left the field, and two sections of fans were moved, the local Salt River Fire Department and the groundscrew rubbed cotton candy and lemonade from the concession stands onto their vehicles in order to get the bees to follow them off the field. Following these maneuvers the game was able to go without any other issues (besides the D-Backs giving up 11 runs to the offense starved GIANTS!)
