Diamondbacks Narrow Roster: Six Players Reassigned to Minor League Camp
Allan Henry-USA TODAY Sports

On Thursday, the Arizona Diamondbacks announced the reassignment of six players to their Minor League camp, effectively reducing their roster to 40 players.

Among those demoted to the minors, Ricky Karcher is the only one with previous experience in the major leagues as part of the Diamondbacks.

Karcher, a right-handed pitcher, made an appearance in one game for the D-backs last season, earning a save by pitching a shutout 10th inning that clinched a 5-4 victory over the Kansas City Royals.

This recent series of reassignments marks the second instance this month that the Diamondbacks have made such moves. Previously, the team had reassigned Jordan Lawlar, Justin Martinez, Cristian Mena, Peter Strzelecki, and Jorge Barrosa to the Minor Leagues.

Stay tuned for further updates.
