Diamondbacks Take Center Stage in Roku’s Free MLB Sunday Broadcasts
Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

Starting May 19th, fans from any location can access free MLB games every Sunday until the season’s end, thanks to a new partnership between Major League Baseball and Roku called Sunday Leadoff Live Games.

Roku President Charlie Collier stated, “With this deal, Roku delivers free, live, weekly Sunday baseball and 24/7 baseball curation, destinations, and channels across our platform. The lead-in to all of television is now the lead-off for Sunday baseball as well. It’s a terrific partnership.”

From May 19th through September 15th, Roku users can stream a live game, enjoy highlights, and watch a nightly recap all for free on The Roku Channel. The program kicks off this Sunday with the St. Louis Cardinals facing the Boston Red Sox.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are featured in three games on Roku this season, including a 2023 NLCS rematch against the Philadelphia Phillies on June 23rd. They will also play against two NL West rivals, facing the San Diego Padres on July 7th and the Los Angeles Dodgers on September 1st.

The Minnesota Twins are the only other team with three games featured on the Sunday Leadoff program.

MLB’s Deputy Commissioner of Business and Media, Noah Garden proudly announced, “With free games available to anyone, MLB games on Roku will be widely accessible to fans. Since Roku serves as an entertainment gateway for millions, this partnership offers a valuable new promotional and distribution platform for MLB games and content.”

Each Sunday’s free game will feature market-focused announcers, ensuring fans can still enjoy their hometown announcers calling the game.
