BRADENTON, Fla. -- Matt Diaz doesn't expect to dazzle fans in his first season with the Pirates, but he does plan to earn their respect. "I guess the scouting report on me would probably be that I don't do anything that's going to wow you," he said. "But I bring it every day. I play hard."
