BALTIMORE (AP) -- Friday night's game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Baltimore Orioles has been postponed by rain.
The shower began before the scheduled 7:05 p.m. starting time and the game was called after a wait of nearly two hours.
This is the Dodgers' only visit to Camden Yards this season, so the teams will play a split-doubleheader on Saturday. The first game will start at 1 p.m. and the second at 7:05 p.m.
Los Angeles hasn't visited Camden Yards since 2002. The teams also met in California in 2004.
The Dodgers entered the game mired in a four-game losing streak. Los Angeles scored only seven runs during the skid, which included a three-game sweep by the visiting San Diego Padres.
Baltimore is in the midst of a nine-game homestand.

Roy-Z over at Plain Gray Swatch wrote a post a while back in which he asked why so many Dodgers' fans seemed to be down on the "ever-consistent" Andre Ethier, viewing him more as a liability than as a star. I happen to be one of those people that has never been a big Ethier fan and advocated trading him long ago, so I thought I'd lay out the reasoning behind my...
Kenley Jansen is possible the best non-closer reliever in the game. He had already recorded four outs and then the Dodgers brought in Paco Rodriguez and Ronald Belisario. They did not pitch like Kenley Jansen. With the game tied at 5, the following happened:
Rodriguez only got a shot at the AL home run leader, Chris Davis, before Belisario came in. The total damage: 2...
The Orioles host the Dodgers at Oriole Park at Camden Yards for 3 games this weekend in the Dodgers first interleague series of the season.
The Dodgers come into Baltimore with nothing seeming to go right lately.
The pitching staff is getting beaten up both on the mound and on the disabled list, with Chris Capuano joining Zack Greinke on the 15 Day DL. Ted Lilly will come up...
If it seemed like A.J. Ellis was slow to get out and try to divert a charging Carlos Quentin, it's because he was. Ellis, not necessarily familiar with the bad blood between Zack Greinke and Quentin, had no reason to believe a seemingly innocuous hit-by-pitch to the arm would result in an all-out brawl. Not on a 3-2 count in a one-run game, at least. But it did, and...

BALTIMORE -- Nolan Reimold homered and hit a tiebreaking two-run double in the eighth inning as the Baltimore Orioles rallied to beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 7-5 Saturday in the first game of a split-doubleheader.
Playing in Baltimore for the first time since 2002, the Dodgers took a 4-0 lead in the second inning. But South Korean left-hander Hyun-Jin Ryu couldn't hold the advantage...
The Baltimore Orioles evidently figure if they're going to work overtime, they might as well make the most of it.
Matt Wieters hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 10th inning and Baltimore withstood four solo homers by the Tampa Bay Rays in a 10-6 victory Thursday night.
Nolan Reimold and Steve Pearce also homered for the Orioles, who have won 17 straight in extra innings...
Akron, OH – Bowie Baysox designated hitter Caleb Joseph would like to play against the Akron Aeros all season long.In four games thus far in 2013, Joseph has 10 RBI against Akron pitching. Thursday night, he swatted a pair of homers and a double to drive in four runs and lead the Baysox to a wild, 13-11, 10-inning victory over the Aeros in the opener of a four-game series at...
The Dodgers played twice, and lost twice, in their doubleheader today against the Orioles and have now dropped six games in a row to fall within a game and a half of last place in the NL West.
Last week’s Dodgers-Padres brawl had serious repercussions for both teams on the injury and suspension fronts, but it’s also the impetus for some potential public relations problems in San Diego.
Mitt Romney may have lost the 2012 presidential election for what he said when he thought he was in private company, and it seems Padres president and CEO Tom Garfinkel has made a similar...
