Maybe it wasn’t a fair shake, maybe the injuries had something to do with it, but Dom Brown will move back to the minors, at least for now. As the Phillies continue to make moves and cuts, their latest is optioning Domonic Brown to Minor League camp. It’s been an up and down Spring Training for Brown. Early, he was hit on the hand, then lately dealt with some neck trouble, but was over both. However, the team seems to know the direction they want to go with Brown. They want him to play everyday in Triple-A, regain the confidence that was lost following a bad ending to the 2011 season, and get back to being one of the best prospects in baseball. This spring, Brown was 6-for-20 (.300) with two triples and a home run, and has struck out just one time. So the numbers looked good over a small sample size. What we’ll need to see from him in Triple-A: more power, better defense, and the ability to hone that speed and use it for good on the basepaths. For those who think the Brown Era is alr...
