Jake Peavy had his best start of the year last night against the Twins.  Peavy struck out 9 over 6 1/3 innings picking up his 7th win of the year, while the schizophrenic White Sox won 3-0.  Peavy’s career on the White Sox has been a bit rocky.   It started even before he was in a White Sox uniform, when he vetoed a trade that would have brought earlier during the 2009 season.  That angered many White Sox fans, in which they questioned his toughness.  However, the 2007 Triple Crown winner never has lacked toughness.  He finally did come to Chicago, on the same deal proposed earlier that year, on the deadline day in 2009.  Then in 2010, Peavy encountered an injury that “never happened before”.  Peavy tore his lattimus dorsi muscle completely.  I’m not a doctor, but that doesn’t sound fun.  He returned this year, in which no one has ever returned from an injury of that magnitude before.
