Triple A The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees lost to the Buffalo Bisons by a score of 5-2. Starting for Scranton was Kei Igawa and he gave up 4 earned runs on 7 hits in 5 innings of work for the loss. Replacing Igawa to start the 6th inning was Steven Jackson and he worked a scoreless inning giving up no hits. Scott Patterson followed Jackson and he gave up 1 earned run on 2 hits in 1 inning. Scott Strickland pitched the 8th inning and gave up 1 hit and no runs. The hitting star of the game for Scranton was Cody Ransom. He went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored and 2 rbi's along with a home run. The Yankees went 1 for 21 with runners in scoring position on the current road trip. A Adv. The Tampa Yankees lost to the Clearwater Threshers by a score of 3-1. Starting for Tampa was Ivan Nova and he gave up 3 earned runs on 11 hits in 6 innings. That's a lot of hits to give up. Replacing Nova to start the 7th inning was Mark Melancon and he gave up no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The hitting stars of the game for Tampa were second baseman Damon Sublett and DH Edwar Gonzalez. Sublett went 2 for 5 with 1 rbi and Gonzalez went 3 for 4. Trenton and Charleston were not scheduled to play.
