Dunn hopes he's done talking about miserable 2011
Adam Dunn's first season with the Chicago White Sox was one he'd love to forget. He knows that's not going to happen because everyone wants to know what went wrong.
Why did a slugger 35 homers shy of 400 for his career go through one of the most miserable seasons in baseball history with a .159 average, only 11 homers and a team-record 177 strikeouts?

Chicago White Sox Pitchers Vie for Closer Role
There is no doubt that a dominating closer is an invaluable asset to a team. When opponents hear “Enter Sandman” at Yankee Stadium, they know that they’re going to have to get through veteran closer Mariano Rivera (which is no easy task) in order to avoid a loss. Similarly, Los Angeles Dodgers’ closer Eric Gagne saved 84 games in a row, which I’m sure didn’t do very much...

1B Hector Gimenez had another big day, going 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, to lead Los Tigres to the win. That gives them the win of the championship series, and takes them to the Caribbean Series, which begins on Feb 2nd. Los Tigres scored in just...
This Year’s Jermaine Dye
With only a few weeks remaining until pitchers and catchers report to camp and local media outlets pretend that truck day is ‘a thing’, there are still a handful of big name players left on without a job for 2012. Of those, the likes of Roy Oswalt and Edwin Jackson will eventually find themselves a big league deal somewhere, even if the dollar value and team don’...

Adam '12: Dunn looks forward to new start
It's understandable why Adam Dunn would want to forget about his historically bad debut with the White Sox in 2011. The only problem for Dunn is that getting away from it wasn't quite as easy as he imagined.

Are You Wild About Another Wild Card?
Ronald Blum of the Denver Post reported yesterday that commissioner Bud Selig expects baseball to expand its playoffs this season.
“I really believe we’ll have the wild card for 2012, this year,” Selig said Friday night in Chicago at a White Sox fan festival. “Clubs really want it. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an issue that the clubs want more...

In his session with the media before the start of SoxFest Friday at the Palmer House, new White Sox manager Robin Ventura was self-deprecating to a fault, well aware he has big shoes to fill as a media personality in replacing Ozzie Guillen.
"I was just as big a fan as anybody of his press conferences.…
