With the ensuing roster shakeups throughout the organization, the recent promotions of Robert Carson, Matt den Dekker, and Anthony Recker have left Wally Backman‘s clubhouse reasonably bare as the 51s push toward a playoff berth in the Pacific Coast League. So, to help out Las Vegas a little bit, FSL Player of the Year Dustin Lawley is making the jump from High-A to Triple-A, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York. He’s currently hitting .260/.313/.512 in 469 at-bats this season, with a league-leading 25 home runs and 92 RBIs. While Lawley has been enjoying a solid season, one of the knocks he’s gotten is that he’s too old to be facing FSL pitching. I was surprised he didn’t get a promotion to Bingham...
