Embree, Tazawa, Atchison, and More

Alan Embree will start the season in the minors.  He spoke with the Herald about the news: “They have me until the 15th (of April), regardless. If we decide to go longer, I think that might be something that might on a wait-and-see approach. We’ll see in that window. I knew coming in that it would be a reach to make the roster. Did I want to? Absolutely. Who doesn’t? Junichi Tazawa will have Tommy John surgery next week and will likely miss the entire season. Scott Atchison has made the team and will be in the bullpen when the Red Sox begin the season. The Red Sox and Rangers are still talking about Mike Lowell but have not come to an agreement on money.
