The Mets squeezed out another rare win at home, but not without another reminder of the weakness that has led to so many of the losses. New York appeared set to cruise to a rare laugher lately at Citi Field, thanks to multiple-hit games from David Wright, Ike Davis and Jordany Valdespin, and a strong start from Jon Niese. But after Niese turned over a five-run lead to the bullpen in the ninth, the unit that has undone much of the Mets' solid work this season nearly blew the game. Josh Edgin recorded two outs, but loaded the bases with a pair of walks and a hit batsman. In came closer Frank Francisco, who promptly walked two more batters and gave up a two-run double to bring the Braves within 6-5. Finally, Jon Rauch came on to strike out Jason Heyward to end the game and give the Mets just their second win at Citi Field in the past 13 games.
