Anne-Marie Caruso/NorthJersey.com / USA TODAY

The future looks bright for the New York Mets.

On Baseball Prospectus' Top 101 prospects list, the Mets have five top prospects that made the cut.

From start to finish, here are the Mets prospects that are featured on the list: Jett Williams (No. 23) Drew Gilbert (No. 29) Ryan Clifford (No. 76) Luisangel Acuña (No. 77) and Christian Scott (No. 88).

Three of these prospects, Gilbert, Clifford and Acuña were all acquired from other organizations at last season's trade deadline.

Williams, who was the Mets' first-round draft pick in 2022, and Gilbert will begin the season in Triple-A, which means they are getting close to making their major league debuts. Acuña could also be making his way to Triple-A after spending the entire season at the Double-A level.

Clifford finished the 2023 campaign in High-A ball, which means he could begin the year with Double-A Binghamton.

As for Scott, he should be in Triple-A to start 2024, and could be utilized as a depth piece in the Mets' starting rotation this season.

Although 2024 is being looked at as a transition year for the Mets, their farm system has been replenished and could see a number of top prospects come up to the big-leagues and contribute this year.

It is a good sign that five Mets prospects made Baseball Prospectus' latest list.
