Miami Herald:
Derrick Turnbow's comeback bid with the Marlins appears over -- before it really got started. The former All-Star closer, who has been pitching with a 20 percent tear in his rotator cuff since 2007, left in the eighth inning of Tuesday's 12-3 loss to the Nationals with severe pain in his right (throwing) shoulder. An MRI will be performed Wednesday. But based on his account of the pain, surgery is likely.
