Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer said he feels much better physically than a year ago. The three-time American League batting champion is looking to rebound from the worst season of his career, when myriad ailments limited him to 82 games. "Yeah, my body feels a lot better than what it did (last March)," Mauer said. The 2009 AL Most Valuable Player went on the disabled list with leg weakness and also battled a viral infection, knee injury and an upper respiratory infection that resulted in pneumonia. Mauer wound up batting .287 with three home runs and 30 RBIs. He has a career batting average of .323.
